THE   STORY HAS BEEN WRITTEN!!!!!  

Jimmie Johnson and Chad Knaus are putting their mark in the NASCAR history books, kinda like Jeff Gordon and Ray Evernham did in the 90’s for Rick Hendrick Motorsports.   In any other year of the Chase, Jeff Gordon’s performance of an average finish of 5th   place and  RECORD of  30 top 10 finishes out of 36 races would have given him the championship walking away.   But this was not any other year!!!   This was the year the 48 team stepped up their program in the Chase and just dominated like no other team has in quite some time!!!  

I have had a lot of fun being the “the sheriff” for our fantasty league!   After every race I was very eager to tally up the results and watch the race for the $$$$$$$$$.   Although I did expect some of you to talk a little more “trash”!!!!!!!!!!   There is alway next year!!

The final results for both the final segment and the Top 12 are very interesting!   I think that Zee has figure that it pays much better to get the Chase money and the heck with the segment payout!!!!!!   She put a big whoopin’ on all of us once again for two years straight!!!!    She hauled in $160.00!!

The final segment was also very interesting.   We had a tie for first place between Mark and Jeremy, they split first and second place money.   That totals $100.00, so they each get $50.00!   There was a tie for the next place also between Larry and Scott.   Third and fourth place money totals $60.00 so they will get $30.00 a piece.   There was only 15 points separating the first eight people in the standings!!

SO NOW THE 2007 SEASON IS OVER AND I AM ALREADY SUFFERING WITHDRAWALS!!   I ONLY HAVE ONE THING TO SAY TO ALL OF YOU……..LOOK OUT FOR THE AMP/MOUNTAIN DEW/NATIONAL GUARD NUMBER 88!!!   HE WILL BE COMING TO A RACE TRACK NEAR YOU SOON!!!!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!!!

My, my how the last four weeks have made a dramatic impact on the the Chase for the Championship!!   It appeared that Mr. Jeff Gordon was going to run away with his fifth Cup championship.   But the 48 team has been bullet proof!!!!!!!!!   This writer has had to do a 180! I was engraving the trophy two weeks ago with Jeff Gordon’s name on it————STOP THE PRESSES.    Now there is no doubt that Jimmie Johnson and the 48 team have solidified their chances for a repeat championship.  That feat is extremely difficult to accompolish with the competitiveness at such a high level in the Cup Series.

There is no doubt that the Hendrick organization has it all together!   Jimmie Johnson was a “nobody” in the Busch Series and look at his success with Hendrick Motorsports.   Now I am just a little biased I might admit, but you better get a good look at the front of the new 88 car, ’cause all your are going to see is the tail lights once the ‘08 season begins!  

You all still have time to get your new JR stuff——I got mine!!!

Here it is, with one race to go our standings are soooooo tight that places 3 thru 10 are only separated by 17 points.   That means that ten out of our sixteen people have an opportunity to get into the the money positions of 1-4!!!!!!!Now that is tight!!

Remember last week that I said that  the championship was Jeff Gordon’s to loose???   Well, it appears that the tide is a changing and his team mate is about to “steal” the title away from him!!!   I know that there is at least one person who is overjoyed that Jeff Gordon is “slip-sliding away”.

Speaking of slip-sliding away, our standings are really tight and jumbled up!!   We have a new leader…..Black Market Baucum   is just one point ahead of Flatus Scott!!!!!   Then positions 3-11 are just 15 point apart, so there seems to be a tight race for the last two places for the money.   So you all need to get down to some serious pit strategy for the last two races!   For me,  I am going with a slight bit of wedge, four fresh Goodyears, a spring rubber in the left rear, and “Let The Big Dog Eat”!!!
